About Us

Our Journey

Featherlite Group is one of India’s leading furniture manufacturing companies, founded in 1965. With over 55 years of experience, we are among the few organizations in India to be awarded numerous international certifications, including ISO quality, quality management, environment management, safety, BIFMA, and IGBC Gold Green Factory Rating.

In 2006, we made our foray into real estate with the vision to create innovative, people-centered office spaces and great homes to live in. Our flagship residential project, Featherlite Vaikuntam, in Urapakkam, Chennai, won the prestigious CNBC Award for the best affordable segment project in 2013. We plan to develop over 1 million sq.ft of commercial and 0.5 million sq ft of coliving space in the next few years.

Our Future Projects

Signature Towers

Featherlite Signature Towers is a 3,50,000 sq ft, state-of-the-art, A-grade office complex. This property is located at the entrance of Cessna Business Park, Marathahalli, Bangalore, and offers great visibility and direct access to Outer Ring Road. Employees also have access to food courts, recreation areas as well as many other facilities. RSP Architects are in charge of every apsect of the design and planning for Featherlite Signature Towers.

Signature Towers is slotted to be a top-of-the-line office building with a whopping 150 ft frontage, and a 35,000 sq ft floor plate that is ideal for IT/ITeS companies.

Featherlite IT Park

The erstwhile named Featherlite IT Park pictured above is a future-proof integrated Campus of 1.2 million Sq.Ft ideas for a campus consolidation of any MC or large Indian occupier. The land boast an over 300 Ft frontage on Bellary Road, the Main Airport Road in Bangalore.

This project, from the House of Featherlite Developers, aims to be a LEED Platinum Certified Building, equipped with innovative sustainability and energy conservation practices. From in-depth sunlight analysis' to optimize natural light in each office, to our Carbon Neutral Footprint Design for Water and Electricity, the project will be one of India's most eco-friendly office campuses.

Our History

1965

FC Factory

Featherlite Corporation was founded just off Mysore Road.
This unit manufactured Garden and Home Furniture.

1975

FP Factory

We diversified into Office Furniture and built the Featherlite Products Factory on Mysore Road which stands tall today!

2006

FP Factory

We added another wing (60,000 SF) to Featherlite Products 1 to house our booming chair division, whil we relocated our workstation division.

2008

Trident Towers

We built our first commercial project for lease. This building houses tenants such as Titan Helios, CST, Snap Fitness, Peninsula and Aquarius.

2009

Featherlite Icon

We built a 1.5 Lakh SF facility in Hejjala, Bangalore to house our growing workstation division.

2010

Featherlite Vista

This Retail-cum-Office 25,000 SF building houses Featherlite Living, Gale, Cushman & Wakefield, and Studio F.

2010

Featherlite Woodside

This 40,000 Sq.Ft warehousing property was built to meet growing demand from Featherlite’s furniture division.

2011

Featherlite Vantage

This 14,000 Sq.Ft retail property is located on the buzzing 100 Ft Road of Indiranagar. Tenants include Linen Club, Kawai Piano an Equation by Punjabi by Nature.

2012

FOS Factory

We constructed a 60,000 SF facility to cater to growing workstation demand in Sriperumbudur, South India.

2014

FP Factory, Rajankunte

This 1 Lakh SF manufacturing facility on the outskirts of Bangalore is the new home of our accelerating chair division which supplies over 15,000 chairs a month!

2015

The Address

This flagship 1 Lakh SF commercial project has set new heights for buildings in the commercial market. Located on the prime Outer Ring Road.

2016

Vaikuntam

420 apartment project was awarded the CNBC Award for Best Affordable Segment project in Chennai in 2013 and was completed in 2015. 350 families are already enjoying their lives at Vaikuntam.

2022

The Address

The Address is 5.5 Lakh Sq.Ft A-Grade IT Park on 200 Ft Radial Road, the new IT Corridor of Chennai. Only 15 minutes from the Chennai International Airport, it is the perfect ‘address’ for MNC’s and SME’s alike.

Our Team

Jawahar Gopal

Chairman

joined the Featherlite group at a young age and is the eldest son of late Sri Gopal Ramanarayan, the founder of The Featherlite Group. He is an Alumnus of IIM Ahmedabad. He’spearheaded the group’s entry into real estate, and has led the development of commercial properties in Bangalore andMysore as well as residential buildings in Chennai, with over 7 lakh Sq.ft in these two cities and more than 10 lakh sq. ft in the planning or approval stage.

Manohar Gopal

Managing Director

leads marketing and strategic planning for the Featherlite group’s business interests and new ventures. Bringing his incredible depth of experience and expertise in real estate investments in land, residential and commercial spaces over the last twenty years, he heads leasing and sales and provides strategic inputs for the company’s growth in other decisions.

Aditya Chellaram

Executive Director

oversees sales, marketing, business development, finance and HR. With real estate experience in India and the US and a degree in Business Economics from UCLA, he has worked with big names in the real estate sector including CBRE, JLL and The Wadhwa Group. He is responsible for successfully leasing out Featherlite group’s marquee commercial asset, The Address in Bangalore.

Director

Drawing from an extensive 15-year background, he brings a rich repository of knowledge. His educational journey at Carnegie Mellon University includes degrees in Computer Engineering and Business. His expertise spans various domains, encompassing deft management of operations, strategic marketing, and the accomplishment of prosperous sales endeavours. Bolstered by a remarkable track record, his proficiency and insights consistently guide and elevate enterprises

Akarsh Sagar

AGM - Leasing

15 years of experience in the Real Estate industry with a vision in Strategy, Corporate Leasing, Business Development, Marketing. Specialised in IT - Commercial Asset Managements, Residential, Land Acquisition. Have completed MBA at Bangalore University and has worked with large groups like SOBHA, Kolte Patil, Akshaya, Express Avenue retail Mall, Radiance Group, SPERO Group and ICICI. He was instrumental in leasing, marketing and sales across his responsibilities.
